Caroline Kagwiria Kinuu Kimathi (PhD) is an assistant professor at the Department of Languages, Literature, School of Humanities and Social Sciences at USIU-Africa. She holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics from Laikipia University, Master of Arts degree in Linguistics from University of Nairobi, and a Bachelor’s degree in Education (English and Literature) from Kenyatta University. She has also done a course on Doctoral Supervisors at African Universities from Stellenbosch University, South Africa and a course in collaborative on-line interactive learning (COIL) at Lassalle University, Mexico. She is a member of Language Association of Eastern Africa (LAEA) and International Sociological Association (ISA) professional bodies. Her area of interests are on Language planning and policies, Second Language learning and Technology, Discourse Analysis, Pragmatics, Doctoral Studies and Supervision.
